The Perfect Mountain Getaway

Drive up the hill toward Oubliette and enjoy the scenery as the road finds its way up the mountain. With each clearing the glory that is Taquitz Rock reaches for the sky directly in front of you. Check out the rustic cabins and forest settings on either side.

Pull your car off the road at Oubliette, get out, and peer over the edge. From here you have a commanding view of the massive granite plutons, the young meandering oaks and the stately redwoods that are the delicious environs of your peaceful mountain cabin retreat.

Your lazy, relaxed mornings should include the usual mountain morning festivities. Seed your sunrise entertainment with a handful of peanuts at intervals on the balcony railings in front of the windows. Then make yourself and your loved ones some coffee while the squirrels and blue-jays discover the bounty you’ve left for them.
